Elder Care Attorney

Richard A. White is a shareholder in the law firm of Jackson White P.C. His primary area of practice is Elder Law assisting and advocating for seniors on issues such as Medicaid/long-term care planning, health care and public policy/legislative issues affecting seniors. He is active in the Medicaid Planning Council and is a member of the Board of Directors for the Alzheimer’s Association, Desert Southwest Chapter and chairs the Public Policy Committee. He was a member of the Governor’s Advisory Council on Aging and is a member (and former Board member) of the Arizona Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), an organization which promotes improvement in substantive law, legal education and ethical guidelines in serving older individuals. Richard also sits on the Public Policy Committee for the Arizona Chapter of NAELA.

Focusing on the unique needs of seniors, Richard has developed his Elder Law practice to include a team of professionals including social workers, former ALTCS eligibility professionals and Veteran Administration benefit professionals. His philosophy in assisting seniors is to look at more than just legal needs, but to have a team readily available to help seniors through what can be a very complicated stage in their lives.

Richard earned his undergraduate degree from California State University at Fullerton and attended J. Reuben Clark Law School, Brigham Young University, where he earned his Juris Doctorate in 1981. He is admitted to practice in all State Courts, the United States District Court for the District of Arizona and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and is a member of the State Bar of Arizona Mental Health and Elder Law Section.
