Melissa Henak

Melissa joined JacksonWhite as an Independent Contract Liaison in 2008. She currently serves as JacksonWhite's Independent Elder Care Advisor in Lake Havasu City. Melissa is available to assist families and health care professional in Mohave and La Paz Counties navigate through the Arizona Long Term Care System (ALTCS). Melissa is skilled in finding and accessing resources and services for the elderly.

Melissa earned her bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Sociology from California Baptist University. After working in the insurance industry for over 10 years, she entered the field of social services. She has over 11 years of social work experience serving as a clinician and a performance improvement specialist prior to joining JacksonWhite.

Community and Other Activities: Melissa is actively involved in the Alzheimer's/Dementia Connection of Havasu and currently serves as a facilitator of one of ADCH's caregiver support groups. She is deeply committed to helping provide education in the community, including assisting with fundraising to support ADCH's work.

In her spare time, Melissa loves spending time outdoors with her husband, young son, 3 dogs, and 2 tortoises. When not hiking, swimming, camping, or biking with her family, she can be found teaching the senior/junior high students and pre-school children at her church, or collecting donations for under-privileged children around the world.
