Elder Law Attorney

Elder Law attorney Richard White is a co-founding shareholder of JacksonWhite. Focusing on the unique needs of seniors, Richard has developed his Elder Law practice to include a team of experts including elder care advisors, former ALTCS eligibility specialists, and Veteran Administration benefit professionals. Richard has been instrumental in the publication of several resource guides including Arizona Consumer’s Guide to ALTCS and Financing Long-Term Care and Alzheimer’s & Related Diseases: Protecting Yourself and Your Family. In his spare time, Richard enjoys spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Eric McDonald

Elder Law Attorney

Eric Macdonald joined JacksonWhite in 1993 and is a shareholder for the firm. He focuses his practice in Elder Law, including public benefits programs for seniors, ALTCS/Medicaid planning, veteran benefits preparation, life and advance care development, special needs trusts, and fiduciary services. He earned his undergraduate degree in finance from Arizona State University in 1989 and graduated magna cum laude from Gonzaga University School of Law in 1992. Eric is a member of the Arizona Medicaid Planning Council, the State Bar of Arizona Mental Health and Elder Law Section, and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA).

Tyler White

Elder Law Attorney

Tyler White focuses his practice on Elder Law, including ALTCS/Medicaid planning, veterans benefit planning, and advance care planning. Tyler graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in 2002, and from Chapman University School of Law in 2006. After law school, Tyler earned a master’s degree in public policy from the University of Utah. In his spare time, Tyler enjoys spending time with his wife and children.

Daniel Nunez

Director of Elder Care

With over 18 years of experience in the healthcare industry and an expansive understanding of the AZ healthcare community, Daniel serves as a statewide resource through his work as Director of Elder Care for JacksonWhite.

Deborah Hargrave

Elder Care Advisor

Deborah has a master’s degree in social work and joined JW in 2016 with over seven years experience in medical social work for Hospice and 11 years in crisis counseling. She serves as a resource and advisor for the West Valley community.

Melissa Henak

Elder Care Advisor

Melissa helps families and healthcare professionals navigate ALTCS in Mohave and La Paz Counties. She has 15 years of social work experience, serving both as a clinician and a performance improvement specialist.

Mandy McConahay

Elder Care Advisor

Mandy joined the firm in 2017 with over 17 years of experience in social work. She earned her Masters in Social Work from ASU and strives to use her knowledge and experience to best assist the community.

Bonnie splits her time between her own geriatric case management company and JW. Her professional experience includes care management, directing adult care homes, and specializing in marketing/intake for adult day centers.

Vangie rejoined the JacksonWhite team in 2017 as a benefits processor. She previously worked for the Arizona Long-Term Care System (ALTCS) as a benefits processor and utilizes the knowledge and experience from this previous position to best assist her clients at JacksonWhite.

Alexa Lawrence

Alexa joined JW in 2012. Previously, she worked for ALTCS for over seven years as a financial eligibility specialist. Alexa has her Bachelor of Fine Arts from SUNY College. She also enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, and reading.

Sandra Johnson

Prior to joining JW, Sandra worked for ALTCS with the state of Arizona for six years as a financial eligibility specialist. Sandra also has eight years of customer service and management experience in retail.

Shannon Headley

Shannon joined JW in 2012. She has previous work experience as an administrative assistant, transcriptionist, and flight attendant. In her spare time she loves reading, camping and spending time with her family

Laurie Smithson

Laurie joined JW in 2013 after having worked for Mesa Public Schools for nearly 15 years. When Laurie isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with her children, reading, and traveling.

Tracy Branham

With the firm since 2014, Tracy joined JacksonWhite with over seven years previous experience doing case work and benefits coordination for those with mental disabilities.

Rachel Hamilton

Legal Assistant

Since 2003, Rachel has assisted the Elder Law attorneys with scheduling, file maintenance, financial planning, and preparation of clients’ ALTCS and VA applications. Rachel graduated with her business degree from the University of Phoenix.
